Michael serves as an advocate for owners, developers, and contractors, from the inception of a project through completion. Using his expansive background in real estate, construction, and business law, combined with his collegiate education in engineering, Michael leaves no stone unturned for his clients. Since before becoming an attorney, Michael has been regularly involved in his family’s construction and development business, giving him invaluable experience from the client perspective.
Michael’s practice includes real estate transactions such as the acquisition, development, and disposition of real estate assets—routinely advising clients on contract negotiations and disputes. Given the vast differences on each project, he works closely with clients to devise a plan that best effectuates their goals. When disputes arise on a project, Michael recognizes that time is always of the essence and works quickly to reach a resolution that protects his clients’ interests and simultaneously limits the time and financial impacts on the project.
When project disputes cannot be solved amicably, Michael also handles all aspects of litigation for commercial clients including breach of contract, shareholder disputes, construction defects, mechanics lien claims, and real property matters. As further evidence of Michael’s ability to provide a one-stop-shop for his development clients’ legal needs, Michael also represents clients in all industries during OSHA inspections and throughout the OSHA litigation process – an unavoidable reality on many development and construction worksites.
